Every child knew Grandma Ivy had the biggest purse in the world. It jingled when she walked and had everything inside—band-aids, candy, tissues, a compass… even a tiny umbrella.
But only her grandson Theo knew the real secret: at the very bottom was a tiny, magical door.
“Where does it go?” he asked.
“Only one way to find out,” she grinned.
Theo crawled inside the purse one rainy afternoon—and kept crawling, until he popped into the most beautiful garden he’d ever seen.
Flowers that glowed. Bees that hummed songs. Trees that grew books on their branches.
He met a talking ladybug named Pip and a grumpy mushroom named Horace. They showed him how to plant wishes, how to grow kindness, and how to make a rainbow from laughter.
Time passed differently there, so when Theo crawled back out, it had only been a minute.
No one believed him—except Grandma, of course.
“Next time,” she said, handing him a packet of seed-shaped gumdrops, “bring a friend.”
And so he did.Ooooh yes! ✨ Let’s light up the night with Diwali-themed grandmother stories! These are filled with sparkle, sweets, and a little bit of magic — the way a grandma would tell them while frying laddoos and lighting diyas. Here’s a batch of 3 Diwali tales wrapped in warmth and wonder.
